Getting to know us!

We are the Hamiltons.  Established 2003!

If you take a look at my title you will see our family.

Gizmo has been with us since 2001, he is our indoor kitty!  The fat one...  He is anti social, but much better than he use to be.  He cannot stand a closed door.  He can be sound asleep and if you close a door, he will be right there wanting in or out.

Jasper is our German Wirehair.  What a complete joy he is.  Although I must admit it took about 6 months or so before I could even stand him.  Puppy stage he was adorable, but a real pain.  Took us forever to potty train him, so the peeing and pooping on the floor got REALLY old.  Once he learned that we had grass outside for that, he because more enjoyable to me.  The more trained he became the more i loved him, now, i cannot imagine life without him.  Don has him well trained for Chukar hunting.  Although he is beginning to get older and slowing down a bit when it comes to hunting.  His latest adventure was up in Montana hunting and finding a porcupine.  The porcupine lived and Jasper hurt for a bit.

Quills in his paw, chin and chest
Tommy is our tom cat.  A couple years ago Tommy started hanging around our neighbors house and they were not wanting another cat, and for whatever reason Don was, so we sort of adopted him.  I wanted him as an inside cat, but he wanted to go outside so badly, that finally i just let him.  I had a cat years ago who was shot with a beebee gun and from then on I wouldn't let them outside.  He has adapted very well and so have I.

Chloe is our newest member.  she is a 10 pound Lhaso apso mix.  A real sweetie.  And spoiled rotten.  Although Don calls her "Rat" he sure spends his share of time with her.  She has taken on so many habits of Jasper as well as the cats.  She squats to pee, but lifts her leg too.  She pounces on you, sits and sleeps on the back of the couch, etc.  She is a little bully too.  If she wants something Jasper has, by gosh, she is gonna take it.

Don, currently working for Newmont (again) is working in Process Safety.  He is enjoying all the education he has been getting lately as well as working towards his CSP.  Chukar season is upon us, so he will be spending most of his spare time out hunting.

I am working at the University of Nevada, Reno Fire Science Academy as the receptionist.  And loving it!!!  We recently had a management change that made life so much better.  I am an avid scrapbooker and spend lots of time (and money) preserving our memories.
